Stat Leaders

The winning tradition continued for Bridgewater-Emery/Ethan in 2017. For a third straight season, the Seahawks reached the 11B playoffs and advanced one round further each season. BEE won 9 games this year, that is the most in a season since they won the 9AA Championship in 2013.

BEE averaged 30.6 points, 246.1 rushing yards and 57.7 passing yards per game, while the defense allowed an average of 9.8 points, 146.8 rushing yards and 59 passing yards per game.

Individually, the Seahawks were led by junior running back Jamin Arend, who finished the season with 1,848 all purpose yards. Arend rushed for 1,272 yards on 169 carries (7.5 yards per carry) and 20 rushing TDs. He also caught 8 passes for 171 yards and a TD.

Senior running back Dustin Weber rushed for 627 yards on 77 carries (8.1 yards per carry) and 11 TDs. Senior running back Cole Gassman finished his career by rushing for 348 yards on 51 carries (6.8 yards per carry) and 7 TDs in only 3 games. Sophomore quarter back Brady Hawkins rushed for 337 yards and 4 TDs.

Hawkins went 27-of-53 passing for 641 yards, 4 TDs and 2 interceptions. His top targets outside of Arend were senior Mason Potter (7 catches for 193 yards and 2 TDs) and senior Derek Storm (6 catches for 137 yards and 1 TD).

Defensively, the Seahawks were led by junior defensive end Carter Dye with 126 tackles. Dye had 15.5 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, 4 fumble recoveries, a safety and a defensive TD. Senior Bradlee Schultz was second on the team in tackles with 106. Schultz had 6.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and 2 fumble recoveries. Other defensive leaders include Weber (87 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 3 sacks), Arend (74 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, 7 sacks and 2 interceptions). Hawkins and Potter each led the team in interceptions with 5 each.
